I come from the Southwest of England and went to University up in Surrey. I found that I use a lot of idioms that not everyone knows the meanings behind; this realisation came from having to explain myself a lot of the time or simply repeating what I had said in a different way. From this realisation I created a book which displays 157 idioms that I use. The aim of the book was not only to show off these interesting and sometimes crass idioms but to perhaps get others to use them too! As my way of speaking was so out of the ordinary for Surrey/London I made the book huge! It is a whopping A2 in side when open! As you can see from the photos below the idiom is on the Left hand side of each spread and the meaning & history is on the right hand page.
